there is no mention of any special way to take communion in the New testament, any other rules were created by men, not God

Well, I'm a former Catholic, so I'll tell you how to do it.

Your right hand always goes under your left, and there's a reason for that. Hold your open left hand in your open right hand, gently cupping it. The priest will put the wafer in your hand... you take the host with your right hand and eat it, then do the sign of the cross, then walk away. Easy squeezy lemon pleezy.

Documentation? I don't know what u really mean, but if u want HC in your hand instead of mouth you hold out your hand. At least where I'm from.
