I've searched her over the net, and saw her account, I've sent her a message like " how u doin now?, where u work now?no love questions for her, but she didn't reply, and to my surprise she even deleted her account just to stay away from me, by the way she's still single but with someone.
Then I have to found another account of hers, and emailed her saying thanks for the wonderful feelings I had of her for the past 20 years. Again she didn't reply. By now my feelings for her are gone.
But the thing is? why do I feel so empty now, like nothing, like a black hole. It's like i don't know how to explain it ...

Listen you have known the girl for 20years, and now she doesn't even reply to your emails. Do you think it won't hurt, but she could have been decent enough to send you a good by email or something. But this is live not everyone is always polite, and not everyone will like you. So get used to the idea, move on and try to have a great Christmas. It hurt so go out with friends, so you can get over the feeling. Good luck.

its obvious that she wants nothing to do with you - like absolutely nothing, not even as friends.
you probably feel empty because well - thats a long time (is that 2 or 20??). i mean, it will be like 'picking up the pieces again'. the feelings and the memories and dreams all that goes with it is suddenly gone - or meaningless - or simply put to an end. its understandable that youll feel lost and alone.
actually your present situation is helpful because you know that you just have to remove her from your life and your system, and that there is no hope.
but as time passes, youll feel again.
