Steam treatment helps to open clogged sinuses, either take a hot shower or a very hot bath in an enclosed bathroom, or you can fill a bowl with boiling water, put a towel over your head and bend over the bowl using the towel as a tent over you and the bowl. Stay there for at least 10 minutes or as long as you can stand it. It will help to make your nose run and open those sinuses. Also a hot wash cloth on your face can help as well, but the key is it has to be as hot as you can stand it. I know it sounds silly, but it works, I used it many times when I was pregnant and couldn't take meds, and have used it for my son when he has had clogged sinuses. They do actually sell steam machines, but it seems silly to buy them when you might only use them once, but if you are interested, they are at most pharmacies. An extra benefit from steam is it actually helps improve your complexion.

Listen , this works ; Get a bottle of distilled water , chill it and add salt. Then , over a sink , draw the water into your nose and blow out into the sink . I realize that it is unpleasant , but it WORKS.
