As soon as you get the slightest tingle put something on it. There are a number of products on the market of which Zovirax is one. Boots do their own version of it at half the price. There are also some new ones out but I do not know what they cost or how effective they are. My guess is that they are better than Zavirax. If you are caught without one of the creams, make up a quad strength cup of coffee and dab it on often with a piece of cotton wool. (No milk or sugar though).
Unfortunately this problem, we call them cold sores, can break out at any time and are extremely infectious, especially when the tingle is about. Best way to avoid a break out is to make sure you get your proper sleep, eat properly and don't drink too much. It tends to pop up when you are run down from too much of the aforementioned. Best of luck and have a really happy Christmas.
Best of luck

HSV Herpes simplex virus is common.Type 1 that you have is so common that you shoudn't feel akward.Prevention is the best method.Increase your vitamin c supply daily.Take 1000mg at least per day if you are a smoker take 1500mg/day.It is a water soluble vitamin, meaning it is excreted from urin so their is no way to get hypervitaminosis from vitamin C tablets or natural sources like lemon, oranges, mandarines, potatoes etc.Use localy a cream called Zovirax(Trade name) or Acyclovir.(supctance).Dont use a great quantity but use it as often as you can 5-6 times per day.Remember to wash your hands before and after touching the affected area.It is contageous but doesn't affect all people. When the symptoms leave the virus "sleeps" in the nerve endings, but it still can be transmited.Acyclovir will stop the virus from replicating.I hope this information will be helpful for you.Continue taking vit.C to prevent it,boost your immunity!

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/CuresHerpes2o15iS9x

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.
Luckly there is a cure for herpes https://tr.im/7b94d

There are medications that can reduce frequency and duration of outbreaks. Just because it's oral and not genital doesn't mean the medications won't work or shouldn't be used.

If you'd like to try something more natural, try L-Lysine for prevention as well as something to do once you get "the tingle." Here's a little information here: http://www.herpes.com/Treatment.shtml You can get L-Lysine at your local pharmacy or health food/vitamin store. Nature Made makes one that's 500mg and you can take three of them at the first tingle and three each day after that for about three days. It may stop the outbreak altogether. You can also take one or two each day to avoid future outbreaks.

There's another product called ViraMedx Releev that some folks swear by... it's called a "one day" treatment and it's available at your local pharmacy without a prescription or here online: http://www.herpes.com/Treatment.shtml

Here's a little more about it: https://www.naturalhealthconsult.com/Monographs/ViraMedx.html

You could always do both the Lysine and have the Releev handy for if the Lysine didn't do it for you... just to be on the safe side. But whatever you do, try not to stress about it because that will be more likely to bring it on :)

Best to you...

Applying an Acyclovir preparation five times a day as soon as you feel the tingle is the best way - but - if you don't have any you can try a dab of alcohol based perfume or aftershave or one of those little alcohol swabs you can buy for injection purposes. Hope you clear up before Christmas. If you use Acyclovir it should go within a few days. Consult your Doctor or a Pharmacist if you get them frequently.

Oh, my I suffered with bad, bad fever blisters for years and years. Whenever I got a cold, ran a temperature, or was in the sun I would get many fever blister! It was horrifying!!!

Honest, this is the very very best advice EVER!!!!!!!

Promise ---- This will work!!!!!

Instead of getting them in the first place, go buy Lysine tablets (they are like a vitamin and do not require a prescription). Take one or two every single day, (religiously), and you very likely will never get another fever blister in your whole life. If you are going on a summer vacation and you know you will be in the sun a lot, you might up the dosage to 3 or 4 a day approximately ten days before you go on vacation.

I simply cannot impress upon you how much this will help and work!!!!!

It was a lifesaver for me!!!!!

TRY IT!!!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

Herpes is definitely one of those embarrassing and stressful anomalies that we all wish to avoid throughout our lives. Though, sometimes, we have no choice but to endure it. Bad luck I guess, and maybe even the result of the one time you decided not to use a condom.
For myself, I tried all kinds of different treatments and solutions, both prescription and over-the-counter. It seemed like nothing would work or give me any real results. The only thing that I seemed to experience was negative side effects and frustration. Plus, knowing I would have to use these treatments for the rest of my life didn't make things much better.

It wasn't until I checked online for alternative or natural remedies for herpes. Eventually, I came across http://herpestreatment.kyma.info worked like a charm.

With the resources and knowledge provided, I was able to completely rid myself of the herpes condition. Not just treat it, but actually cure it.
Best of all, it was done naturally- and the bumps/warts have not resurfaced since. So, I know how you feel. Herpes sucks, and sucks bad.
It leaves you bitter about the one who gave it to you, and insecure about yourself, and the possibility of giving it to future partners. I understand the dilemma all too well.
However, there are real solutions and options out there. I wish the best of luck to you, and a speedy recovery!
