i would love to find thre recipe for these cookies, which are grainy(like sugar grains) and have a touch of a cinnamon flavor to it.please help if you know or have any idea.

Butter cookies with cinnamon are rolled in cinnamon-sugar mixture before baking.

INGREDIENTS:

2/3 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup pecans or walnuts
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons granulated sugar

PREPARATION:

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Sift flour with baking powder and 1 teaspoon cinnamon; add to butter mixture and blend well. Chill dough for 30 minutes. In a wide shallow bowl, combine chopped nuts with 2 tablespoons cinnamon and 2 tablespoons sugar.
Form chilled cinnamon cookie dough into small balls; roll each ball in the cinnamon sugar nut mixture then place on greased and floured cookie sheets (or use silpat sheets) about 2 to 3 inches apart.
Bake at 350° for about 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes about 36 cinnamon cookies.

Soft Sugar Cookie/Teacakes 4 1/2 c Flour 2 ts Baking powder 1 ts Baking soda 1/2 ts Salt 1/2 ts Nutmeg 1 1/2 c Shortening; (crisco) 2 c Sugar 2 Eggs 1 ts Vanilla 1/2 ts Lemon extract 1 c Buttermilk This recipe makes soft, fat sugar cookies. Great big ones too. Stir together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and nutmeg. In a large bowl beat shortening for 30 seconds. Add sugar and beat till fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla and lemon extract beat well. Add flour mixture, beating till well mixed. Divide in half. Cover and chill 3 hours or till easy to handle. For large cookies, roll dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut into rounds with a 3 inch cookie cutter. For small cookies, roll dough 3/8 thick and cut into rounds with a 2 inch cookie cutter. Place 2 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375 oven for 10 to 12 mins. Remove and cool. Makes 24 large or 48 small cookies. The large are the best it looks like a nice big sugar cookie.
