i reakon there should be an "alchohol card" and you have to use this card if you wanna buy alchohol- the limit should be a few cans a week/one bottle of wine- to stop people getting drunk and to lower the number of alchoholics. But you cannot use cash to buy alchohol because the info on your weekly limit is on the card. what do u think...whats yr ideas?

well there is a potential for reducing alcoholics.. and this will definitely bring to many peoples' minds.. the purpose of the card..(if this method was in use).. which would promote a higher level of awareness.. but as a younger male i know alcohol is as simple to get as asking someone older you know to buy it for you and providing the cash for them... also.. a few bottles of beer would be impossible.. that WOULD NOT happen.. only because the companies have their 24's and other packs of that size.. and your local liquor store/beer store im sure enjoys that money... along with our government.. but yet again.. "free will" is a big thing these days...but definitely something worth a try to prevent alcoholics...

An amusing idea, but think about it, alcoholics will always get drink from somewhere, no matter what you do, also, those who drink would just find a way of using those who dont drink allocation. Not really going to work, Prohibition in the USA in the 20s? More alcoholics were created then than when it was freely available.

You're on to a good idea but I think it would be easier just to make alcohol more expensive. It's far too affordable these days hence people can easily get drunk TOO OFTEN!!
People who endlessly binge drink and waste tax payers money ( ie police and hospitals have enough to do) should pay fines.I'm all for free will but alot of weak people who need to drink 'in order to have fun' spoil it for the rest of us!!

I think you are out of order and this would be a breach of human rights, Who the hell are you to say what people can and cant do.
If you dont want to drink then dont bother,,, its not bothering you is it??
It could never be implemented anyway and would be abused...
What a stupid Idea...
And some of these answers are making my blood boil....
All you do gooders that think you are better than everyone else..
Some people like a drink... so what... If they want to binge ,,, so what,, they are paying for it arent they??
Wasting taxpayers money?? are you having a laugh, there are worse things..
People can do what the heck they like so stop your interfering nonsense....
GET BACK IN YOUR BOX !!!!

Being a father of two teenage daughters i visit declare that dependancy to drugs can't be truly while in comparison with cyber web or Chatting . I agree there is a few freedom to settle for and it is elementary to certainly use classes like 'internet nanny' or 'kinfolk alert' to randomly examine what sites they could pass to. The take care of them is that if i hit upon any incorrect internet site they are going to be without cyber web :-) It has worked for 2 years and teenagers are conserving their end of nice purchase. In cyber web there all id's are universal to me inspite of the incontrovertible fact that it incredibly is my end of nice purchase that i do no longer examine .

Are you going to pay the money that the loss of revenue that will be needed by the government, or are you in favour of a police state where free will is outlawed?
Why should you let it bother you if people want to have a drink?

i see sort of like how you can only buy so much pseudophed cold medicine in a month....
good idea but it would never fly, too many people would be pissed off because theyre having social gatherings and stuff and need to purchase in bulk. plus privacy advocates would be all over that, and even if they did do it it would be just like prohibition, blackmarket alcohol would be all over

mmm, lets go back to rationing, that'll help. Some people drink a lot and don't do anyone else any harm - you can't tar everyone with the same brush
