Its only prostitutes. If it was little old ladies then maybe.

Anyways, whats the reward for. If you know who he is, you dob him in. You dont sit there thinking. 'oooh only 250, nah not enough for me, not worth me picking up the phone and saving lives'.

OK - I'll go against the grain here. Why should there be a reward? If someome knows something, surely seeing right done is reward enough. Do we need a newspaper to offer a prize (it is a prize, not a reward) to see justice.

Rewards should only work where fear of the recrimination of turning in a criminal justifies a form of recompense for the consequences of being an informant. Does that prevail in this instance? I think not.

I hear what you say, but I would like to think that people would give information without there being a reward.
With DNA and everything the chances of a wrongful conviction is even lower than ever (and it has always been low - think how many 'wrongful conviction cases hit the headlines compared to the number of people convicted every year...) then no-one should have any fear that their information might target the wrong man.
Anyone who might know ANYTHING should tell the police.

He's not a "ripper", he didn't remove any organs or anything......If he is a jack the ripper copy cat then he'd have stopped, Jack only sliced five whores in 1888......almost 100 years exactly before I was born! 250,000 'll do me, If I found him I wouldn't turn it down.

I think he `needs to be caught no matter what the reward is to prevent others being killed in the same way,i dont think money comes into it or at least it shouldn`t where human lives are at risk,i think it`s crap the attitude some people have just because they where prostitutes, they are still human beings and did not deserve to die in such a horrible way.

Regardless of the profession of these females, they're still people. It's disgusting that people see them as a lower form of life! I've known a female in that profession before (no, not like that) and she was a very nice person, just making a living the only way she could at that time.

Any murderer, regardless of the type of person he or she kills, is SCUM and deserves to be handed in. If i knew who it was I'd hand him/her in and give the money away to charity. It's blood money. I don't want it.

If brothels were legalised, these girls would be in a safe environment, off the streets, and with security, and the killing and attacking of these girls would stop.

"Out of respect I think the media and the police should refer to the deceased as 'women' who were all young and several I understand were mothers. Labelling them as 'prostitutes' will be adding to the pain of their bereaved families...

I think if I knew who it was I'd just hand him in whether there was a reward or not - you can't put a price on life.

I am appalled that some of the answers posted here belittle these dreadful crimes because the victims are 'only' prostitutes/whores.

Since when has the life of a woman been valued on whether or not she is a sex worker?

But that reward is only from one newspaper - I'm sure others will join in and the reward will go up.
