If it's just liquid intake you're talking about, then squash away! Anything liquid without caffeine counts as part of your daily intake (not including thick drinks like milk or smoothies). Mind your teeth and figure though - too much sugar won't help you however much you drink; pure water keeps the body's systems clean and running efficiently.
I wouldn't use cheap squash as it contains all sorts of unpleasant additives. If you do get one with additives, try and make sure they're natural ones, like beta-carotene (out of carrots, strangely enough!) rather than chemical e-numbers. Also avoid any with aspartame, acesulfame K or Phenylanaline - these are creeping into more and more soft drinks these days as a cheap alternative to sugar; and the manufacturers are reticent about how bad these actually are for you.
So, chemical squash bad, real juice squash good, plain water even better!

Well, I guess orange squash is mainly water. It would probably count as part of your water intake, but it would mean you were taking in more sugar and calories.

Squash has loads of additives including sugar or sweeteners, and colouring. Tap water doesn't taste very nice but if you use a jug filter such as Brita, it tastes so different. You could also try switching to pure juices, but not too much as they too contain sugar. Plain Water is best.

All water you drink whether it's in squash/tea/coffee etc. counts towards your daily intake - obviously plain water hasn't got all the extra stuff in it but it all does count so enjoy your squash and keep drinking!

No apparently it has to be plain water, preferably filtered. This will properly flush out your system whereas orange squash contains sugars and toxins, etc.
