Americans do not have patience for a long war.

Of course not,

America has never had the stomach for war. Not even in the founding days. You find people on both sides of the line. Loyalists and Rebels in the War of Independence.

But, the real question is does any group of people from any nation truly have the "stomach" for war?

I do not believe any nations people can suffice and say, "Yes, we love war it is great". The political machines only see numbers and ratings in war. They understand loss of course, but it is a justifiable evil.

Personally I would hope we, America, completely check the various terrorists organizations. But, lets not forget the Coalition troops that are helping out. Small in number yes, but everyone counts. I do not believe we will be able to truly stop terrorists. It will cost 100's of thousands of lives. As, this is the Muslim faiths "crusades".

Thanks

the answer is no! not yet! the American first have to realize who is the real enemy. who are the real masters of terror. Right now, America is asleep! They have to wake up first! Now... waking up is not such a pretty thing. It's not fun, you know... For example:
1) what really happened at Pearl Harbor?
2) why did America attack Vietnam?
3) who killed JFK and Martin Luther King?
4) what really happened in Oklahoma City in 1995?
5) what really happened on 9/11?
6) why invade Iraq? There were no WMD found!

For all these events (and many other) there is an official story. As long as the American people blindly believe what the government says they are controlled. The moment you stop questioning your rulers you give up your freedom and become a slave.

Yes, we do. We will fight for what we believe and for what we have. It is our government that fights our wars half-a$$, mixing politics with war. Other country's fight wars with no rules, with the goal of winning. Our government insist on following all the rules and making up more as they go. The citizens of the US have the stomache for it, but it is hard to fight with both hands tied behind your back.

No, but they may have the arrogant, ignorant, self righteous "we are the world" belief that it is their full right to wage terror campaigns "in the name of freedom" against their perceived enemies while they (represented by their leaders) pose the greatest risk to stability in many of the worlds countries

some do, some don't. I think the question should be "does the U.S. government have the stomach to wage the war?"

no. americans for the most part are unwilling to do what it takes to win a major war. take wwii for instance, america today would never win that war because we would be unwilling to accept the use of a nuclear weapon. unfortunately, iran and their counterparts (north korea, etc...) are willing to use it and we are in for some desperate times ahead, i'm afraid.

Contrived enemies more like. Bush and his acomplices have designed and implemented a " Strategy of Tension " for the specific reason of causing upheavel throughout the world. It need not be this way. But, you can`t attain power through peace or wealth for that matter. This is why the world is in it`s present state.

I believe that they are right. The Democratic Party is full of liberals who believe that they can talk their way out of any situation and they have no grasp on reality. Reasoning with Muslim fanatics is like reasoning with a hungry Grizzly Bear.
