Actually people do not look down on you.

You are the most celebrated and supported military in my lifetime.

Nobody in my family got a parade. Stop telling us that we have to heap praise on you 7 days a week and twice on Sunday.

First of all let me say THANK YOU. I do NOT believe the majority of people do, it just happens to be that the small amount that do have big mouths. And they need to realize that the military is doing their job and the only reason they have the right to voice their opinions (even as stupid as they may be) is there is a because of our military! If they don't like what is going on they need to discuss that with their elected officials, often the biggest complainers are the ones who don't vote.

These people are often ill informed. They don't know that the people (not the insurgents or terrorists) who we are helping in these areas are glad we are there. But when was the last time they actually talked to an Iraq citizen right?

So, I say Thank you to you, your fellow soldiers, airman, and seaman. A BIG thank you to you families as well for all they do without, go through and give up which is more than any of those people could ever know.

Right now I would also like to say that there is a lot of support for troops. They just don't get as much press.

People also need to remember their veterans including those from this war and ALL wars. The VA hospitals are now full with people from ALL age groups. But the funding is still poor. The review board is too long (most wait up to 2 years to get service connectivity).

OH And to the idiot ('big" Dave)below today's military is VERY educated and not just the officeres there are more enlisted members with college degree's and above in today's military forces than ever before. And have millions of dollars in training. When was the last time you used multi million dollar equipment? The socio-economic factor is far from applicable in today's military. And even if it was why would you thumb your nose up at someone just because of their upbringings? We are ALL Americans no matter what neighborhood you live in! Countless military members leave good paying jobs and their own successful businesses to lay their life on the line. One here in our state was a NFL Pro Football player who walked away from Millions. You could only wish to be half the man he is. And 'BIG" Dave have you heard about the the psychological reasons for a male preoccupied with size???

Big Dave....how many soldiers do you know personally? Being a wife to a soldier, I see and hear about what soldiers go through when traveling and coming home from Iraq, as far as being spit on in airports. Don't get me wrong, there are so many that do support the troops 110%, but I think the soldiers see a lot more of the negative then we all think. It's very sad.

one reason, private wilder. you are doing something that the ones who look down on you don't have the nerve to do. you have the most important rank in the army. it is the foot soldier who gets the job done. "foot soldier" does not necessarily mean infantryman, but the man that actually carries out the orders he is charged with. i assure you that there are more supporters than dissidents behind you and your comrades. keep doing a job well done with our prayers and support. God bless every one of you and may you every one have a very blessed Christmas and happy Hannukah. come home safe and SOON.

The majority of people I meet dont look down on us soldiers. They just dont get why were over seas fighting a war thats not ours.

And for the people who do look down on US soldiers, Well.... Lets say Karmas a ***** when a combat boots shoved up theirs.
What we have to remember, we didnt enlist because we were forced.

I see that Big Dave came from the same school of John Kerry no one has informed him that our soldiers are more educated than the population at large. The army don't want idiots anymore. I just thank God that we have a generation of young men that are willing to fight for our freedoms and they volunteer to boot and keep volunteering, when I read what some of these liberal whoosies have to say I thank God for you guys

The American public gets it information from biased news organizations. They only report anything negative that has anything to do with Iraq or anything else our President tries to achieve. I believe that by a vast majority , the American public supports everything our service people are doing for us. We need to here more reporting of our soldiers and their feelings of what is going on. Sean Hannity recently went over there and talked to many of our troops. You here a completely different story than what our news organizations are reporting. It is sad that politics is running this war instead of the military. keep up the great work and know we support you 110% .

We, the public, in general, do not look down on you and your fellow soldiers. We don't think President Bush made a good decision to send our troops to Iraq, with false information, then not admit to his mistakes.
We are proud of the job you soldiers do, and appreciate you very much.
My husband is a vet, if you want to know what being mistreated for doing your job, ask a Viet Nam vet.

Trust me, there are FAR, FAR more people that actually do appreiate what you do, and I am one of them. THANK you for putting your lifeon the line to protect us. I think many stupid people get mixed up with their political beliefs and end up hating Bush or whoemever they oppose and see how troops do what the pres says, so they assume that the soldiers agree on his issues as well (some dumb liberals). Keep up the good work, God bless, and thank you again.

You Rock!

Thank you! for your service and putting your butt on the line for me, and my rights, freedoms, and peaceful daily liife here.
Without you! we would surely be in trouble.
Because of you! I feel safer that a terrorist aint gonna blow up my family or my loved ones.
Need more brother?

Because of you! we can win this war against terror.
Because of you! and the man next to you, we have a chance to defeat this threat that looms over us these days.
You are a soldier! And you have my unwavering respect and support!
And if you get a chance...please grab a big bomb, and kill as many of those yellow-bellied coward terrorists as you can!

Once again....Thank You Soldier! I'm proud to have this chance to say:
You Rock!

I dont know of a single person that looks down on soldiers. If anything, people feel sorry for you for having to fight this war. Everyone I know gives you men and women highest honors, after all, you deserve them.
