For the Christians who proclaim that the reason they disagree with homosexuality is because God created men and women's sexual organs for procreation only and so they shouldn't be used for anything else. then what would you say to a couple of the same gender who are in a loving, caring, romantic relationship but chose not to have sex?

I'm sure you will find some response to this question that still vilifies gay people but i'm interested to hear what your response will be.

Thanks China Rose! I believe my point was that it is senseless!

Firstly China, I'm a lover not a fighter and just enjoy sharing knowledge. I don't wish to share personal information here as I don't believe that is the purpose of this service but most of my questions are motivated by personal experience and tragedy and I have just as much right to share my views as anyone else. Occasionally I try to provoke an extreme reaction because I believe it’s when people show themselves truly and most openly. This does not however mean that I assume to know people and you don’t know me, or maybe you do… Maybe you are me… in a different place and situation.

I do however have the grace, when answering a question that clearly means something to the asker, to answer in depth and with reasoning whether I am in agreeance or not! Giving an opinion that may offend can be upsetting as you yourself have proven with your retaliation to my flippant comment!

I will end this, not with a comment about you, but one about myself so that I can feel confident that I haven’t upset anyone.

To be self righteous is to be piously sure of one's own righteousness and more importantly moralistic. Thank you

do you want to know what i think about your post? i think it's senseless.

by the way, don't answer my question about artists since you don't know what i'm talking about. i am an artist myself, so i asked that question, since i am living in the world of artists. you, on the other hand, don't. so, i really suggest you keep your opinions to yourself concerning my questions about artists because you don't understand what real artists are, because obviously you are not one of us. it would be much appreciated if you don't apply your personal religious beliefs in answering that particular question of mine.

by the way, may i add, you are one self-righteous soul.

you're the one who's spreading hate. just look at this post of yours.

I'm no bible scholar but here goes:

I'm a Christian and the God I believe in does not approve of promiscuity which is of course different from love.

If it is in fact true love, it can't be sin because God is love to many people, myself included.

Also, God wants us to be happy and to experience the good things he created. Now many people will say that sexual instinct is to facilitate and pleasure is to reward those who honor the command to be fruitful and multiply. I disagree for many reasons that will go off topic of your question so I'll save it.

There are many kinds of love, actual love and I have yet to find anything in the bible that says that any kind of love is forbidden. All references I know of are strictly specific to lust for the sake of lust. Read SOS in the bible - smokin lusty wow - but in the spirit of love.

IF you ARE in love show it any and every way you can.

I'm sure the uppity sphincter-clenching moral majority will flame me, I don't care.

Whatever happens in a person's life is between them and God.

Again I'm no scholar and maybe my memory is wrong about these quotes but it's funny the way people focus on the homo thing and overlook the "he among you who is without sin may cast the first stone" thing and the "Judge not lest ye be judged" thing.

As a Christian I believe it states very clearly in the Bible that a man shall not lye down with another man, and a woman shall not lye down with another woman. I do not agree with homosexuality, but that really is not for me to decide about. That is in Gods hands. By your analogy you are just trying to draw a fine line, trying to find out what is acceptable in homosexuality and what is not. I believe homosexuality is ALL unacceptable. But then again that is just my opinion. God Bless.

i say this being experienced. Up until a year ago i was gay! I was in a very commited and loving relationhip. I really loved her.
God made us all to be different. No two peope alike. any christian shouldn't judge. That is for god himself. we all have our flaws. You can't judge someone for the person they love. The Gay community is growing! What would that so called Christian say if their son/daughter grew up and told them "mom/dad i am gay" You can't look at someone differently based on sex/ race/etc. why can you on their sexual preference?

Well, it is a little hard to believe that 2 people can be in a meaningfull long term relationship without having sex, but if that is the case, in my opinion it would amount to nothing more than a particularly good friendship

it all comes down to the "words of God" spoken to Moses in leviticus 18.
Mankind should not lie down with mankind as the same with womankind.
However Jesus said himself GREET each other with a hoy kiss.
My father is the ONLY one that ever kissed me. I was about 8 or 9 years old.
Fraternity has its own love, and fellowship has its own love. too.
but i guarantee you if you have two GAY people living together, they are NOT just freinds

or those loving couples who simply cant have children ?

people cant answer these questions logically because for God to allow childless couples then why would he disagree with homosexuality if the purpose is for procreation ...
its nonsense , God loves all and we all have a purpose
that includes homosexuals

Good questions, would love to see the answers to this one. As I hate the discrimination against gay people. I am not gay, just care about people's feelings.
