Yes. I agree.
Some people just want to spread hate and lies.
Their questions and answers should be deleted & their accounts should be closed immediately!!
Especially the people who pretend to be of a certain religion, in order to insult that religion.

First off, Yahoo Answers isn't here to be the God Squad for your religion. They aren't here to make sure everyone stays within the guidelines of any given religion. It's an open forum.
Secondly, there are just as many Christians and Muslims here being hateful towards Pagans, Atheists and others.
I find this sort of thing rather childish. I suppose it would be alright now for me to lump you in with all others of your group, whatever label you have decided to put on yourself.
Why does it seem that it's alright when Christians or Muslims say something against Non's, yet you all can't seem to handle it when they return the treatment? I don't get it, really... I guess I got out of that 4th grade mentality in.... 4th grade.

I am a Christian, but I haven't always been. I used to be agnostic, but I think athiests are prone to insult Christians because they are tired of people not considering their beleifs to be valid.
Christians tend to think that if you don't beleive in God you are an idiot, and then they try to back up Christian theories by quoting the bible, which would not prove anything to a person who doesn't believe the bible.
This is unbeleivably frustrating to athiests and agnostics, them, and so athiests have most-likely developed resentment towards most Christians. Their feelings towards Islam is probably the same plus some resentment because of them treating women like possessions or slaves in some cases.

I'd love, love, purely love, for people of ALL spiritual/religious backgrounds to be able to honestly AND POLITELY ask questions of each other, in a spirit of learning. You can talk about controversial things, very courteously---and disagree with viewpoints, politely: it IS doable, if you concentrate. And this would be a great place to pick up data from others.....kinda like a cross between the library and the local coffee shop.
But there are a lot of turkeys, of ALL types, who are just not going to abide by community guidelines unless we push for it. They'll substitute hate speech, diatribe, and slurs of all types for thought and reasoning.
When you add in the "my way is the ONLY way, and I'm gonna COMPLETELY VERBALLY CLOBBER anyone who says differently!" (and have seen _this_ type in every belief system/nonbelief system)....plus the trolls who just like to cause trouble....we've got a major mess.
When you see violations of the community guidelines/terms of service, RAMO (report abuse, move on)---each and every time! That's the _only_ way we're going to get control of these boards, and get this area back to some measure of civility, IMHO.
If people don't feel like conforming to Yahoo's guidelines and terms of service, they're free to find another board. But one can't claim "freedom of speech" as a justification for hate speech, or a permission to break the established guidelines.

I agree that accounts of all those who spread hate and insult others should be deleted for ever, and they should not be allowed to provoke other users.
One can have a different point of view without insulting those who do not agree, without being judgemental and without trying to prove he/she is the only person who knows the right things and follows the right path.
If they do not agree, that's fine. But it's not fine to upset people around just because they have the similar opinion and choice as they do!

No freedom of expression, this can not be regulated in a free society
but what upsets a Muslim and a Christian who are very sensitive, to what they precieve as insults, are nothing more than people with other views expressing an opinion.
Hence Yahoo answers is quite correct in their policies

Everyone gets named-called and mocked. How much censorship do you want? I'll send you a ticket to North Korea if you like.
How many times do Christians mock athiests for their beliefs which do make more sense, but thats not the point. Christians are constantly calling athiets idiots for not believing and that we're all going to burn in the firey lake for not believing. Yahoo must be neutral and objective and not side with any one side. If you want a biased Christian loving-website buy Websites For Dummies and make your own!

I believe this is done by people who are unhappy in their own lives and find pleasure terrorizing others. Yes, everyone should have his or her own opinion, but its very unfriendly to be so full of hatred. It doesn't make anyone a better person, it only lowers their self esteem.

No, i'm not sure where your based but the whole point of yahoo answers is the sharing of ideas and opinions and I find it quite funny that just because someone doesn't agree with your point of views that theirs should be deleted!

Most of the "Hatred" here is really just smart @ss, sarcastic, irreverent humor. The crowd here includes lots of undereducated, confused, clueless, adolescent airheads trying to push people's buttons so consider who you're talking to. But occasionally some intelligent ideas are thrown out.
If you can't take a joke you might consider going elsewhere. There's church sponsored sites which will happily spoon-feed you their authorized, sanitized, sugar-coated version of things.
