The terrorists, whoever they are, could not be worthy Muslims. The Islamic message is a message of justice, peace and mercy to all mankind. A cowardly act of terrorism against innocent people is not a doorway to heaven but a gateway to hell. Islam rejects aggression and self-serving retribution. Islam holds the human soul in high regard and considers the attack against one human being a grave sin.

The Holy Qur'an warns: "Whoever killed a person not in retaliation of murder or in spreading mischief in the land it would be as if he killed all mankind and if anyone saved one life it would be as if he saved all mankind" (Qur'an 5: 32). Prophet Muhammad said "Whoever hurts a dhimee (a Jew or a Christian protected by Islamic state) he would be like hurting me and who hurts me, he hurts God."

The act of terrorism is a dirty political act and cannot be a religious act. Many American Muslims have been killed in this tragedy and many Muslim firefighters have died trying to rescue peopl

One day Clinton was going to give a speech at an Elementary School. He asked the teacher what the children are studying and she replied that they were learning about Greek Tragedies. So the President decides to talk about Tragedies.

He asks a student, "What would you consider to be a tragedy?"
The kid thinks for awhile and then says, " If a boy is running after a ball into a street and gets run over by a car and dies."
Clinton responds, "No, I don't think that's a tragedy... that's an
accident."

Then Clinton asks another kid to give an example of a tragedy.
The kid says, "If a bus full of kids drives over a cliff and they all
die." This time Clinton says, "I don't think that's a tragedy... I think
that's a great loss."

So again Clinton asks another kid to give an example of a tragedy.

The kid responds, "If you, Hillary, and Al Gore are on Air Force One and it crashes."

"Right!" says Clinton to the kid. "That would be a tragedy... how did you ever know that?"

Quickly, the kid replies, " Because I know it's not an accident and I know it's not a great loss."

I agree. Terrorists use Islam has an excuse. A lot have been brain washed by fundamentalist Islamic leaders.
I do not think a normal sensible and intelligent person would claim all Muslims are bad and evil. I certainly do not, I know it is only a few and I do not judge a whole religion or race, etc on the acts of a few.
The only thing is that (in the UK at least) Muslims do not do themselves any favours by not speaking out publicly against these fundamentalist.

Scriptures are always subject to interpretation - Christians are the worst of all for rewriting the script in an attempt to get more converts. Leviticus will probably be written out of the next Bible printing.
I suspect that much reliance would be placed on the 'not in retaliation' exclusion. Unlike a legal document, the Holy Qur'an does not define retaliation.
In the past, I (white Englishman) have worked in remote parts of the Middle East without personal security and travelled alone around Pakistan on a bicycle. I experienced no hostility from any Muslim that I encountered.
The roots of Islamic terrorism are in Palestine and were it not for the considerable Israeli influence in the US and to a lesser extent the UK, these people would have been called freedom fighters.
While Sunni are now killing Shi'ite in various power struggles, the original intention of bringing the Middle East war to the West is understandable as Israel has only been able to behave like the Nazi's that that it so dislikes because of financial and political support from the US. Back to the 'not in retaliation' exclusion to justify attacking those states that support Israel.

i think one has to question who the terrorists REALLY are and what their motivations are.
i think islam is being used as a 'fall guy' to hide a much bigger 'plot' (for want of better words) i don't believe that the people who are being called terrorists... or should i say, the main focus of finger pointing - al queda - is working on it's own, rather they are supported by someone/people, who have a wider agenda, and pull the strings of al queda to divert public attention, and manipulate public opinion.
with regards to the issues in iraq and other countries on a local level... it is standard tribal rubbish, where one tribe seeks to dominate another... the principle 2 tribes being Sunnis and Shiites. it is no brain stormer, the the principle reason why the west should not involve themselves in those politics... and why iraq is a blood bath today. if there is a status quo, even if it doesn't appear to be good, leave it as all alternatives are worse! tribal conflicts run too deep to expect a mature out come.

in no way, I take this media as you're meant to and admire that we are all diverse and have diverse reviews. If all of us agreed on each and every thing this could be a humdrum internet site to apply. Debate is healthy and stereotypes are a existence-form, it somewhat is in a people nature to discriminate and decide others, it would not make you any lesser of a individual. people stereotype the british as a society of yank wannabes with undesirable the teeth yet fairly we don't prefer to affix united statesa. as much as individuals have not got any interest interior the united kingdom. you're able to desire to confirm your u . s . from the exterior to work out why people have those perspectives, you will by no potential understand in case you're merely observing issues from interior the USA of a. end being gentle, it somewhat is existence.

The message of Islam is in direct contradiction to the good news of Jesus Christ.

Islam is a deceiving and lying religion that mimics aspects of both Judaism and Christianity and it's main purpose is to turn men away from the one true God and His Son Jesus Christ whom He sent, and from the Bible, the only inspired word of God. It claims one God and has it's replacement for our Saviour Jesus Christ in Muhammed.

To appeal to it as not justifying terrorrism is to play the devil's advocate. Both terrorists and Muslims will face God's judgement and indeed all that refuse God's call to faith in His Son, the Saviour Jesus Christ.

That men use or misuse the Qur'an or any other religious writings, including the Bible is all the same - they will face God's condemnation without Jesus Christ as their Saviour.

God Who rules over all that not even a sparrow falls to the ground without His knowledge, and Who allows these terrible acts of terrorism, does so for very good purposes whether we understand those purposes or not. We would all do better to take to heart the insecurity of life and seek God for His mercy and salvation and to seek to understand His ways. Perhaps He even allows these wicked terrorists as a judgement upon Islam and it's awful lie against Him, that we might take heed. Then you would be found fighting against Him. Such may also serve as a call to turn or return to Him. Further if men give Him up, then what happens when He gives them up ?

If Islam held the human soul in high regard why then does it dishonestly deny Christ and His clear declaration and refuse the salvation of that soul in the only way possible, through Him alone ?

If Islam is a message of justice and peace and mercy why is there so much injustice, turbulence, fighting and killing and war and impacable hatred in all Islamic lands accross the world ? Even against their own kind ?

Why is there so much aggression - especially in the Middle East - and so many riots and fatwahs and acts of self serving retribution against non Muslim cultures who dare to question their rather intolerant views ?

Why are so many Christians killed in Islamic lands ?

Your defence of Islam and calling it holy is an offence to God.

Shouldest thou help the ungodly and love them that hate the Lord ? 2 Chronicles19/2

Ah, c'mon, religion is just a cover for people who want to believe whatever they feel like believing, and want to justify doing what they do and imposing their beliefs on everyone else by citing a higher power. Islam is no more a religion of 'peace' or of 'war' than any other religion - depends which bit of the Quran (or the Bible, or whatever) you feel like reading and how you feel like interpreting it. If there is a God, then there ain't nobody on this earth knows what he wants or what he's thinking - why the hell does anyone think they do? Keep your religion to yourself, and let's just get on with standing strong as human beings against those who would kill, maim, destroy other human beings, for whatever reason. That's all we are, and all we have.

I agree with that. Their message is a peaceful one, but these terrorists have blown it all out of preportion.

They use the Qur'an as an excuse to justify the slaughter of innocent people.

"The Holy Qur'an warns: "Whoever killed a person not in retaliation of murder or in spreading mischief in the land"

I think this is where they take it out of context, it says that if someone murdered or caused mischief it is ok to exact revenge against them. They seem to think that the US etc are making mischief and killing innocent people and this is where they are justifying it.

Hope that made sense.

Sure, the extremist Muslims are the ones doing the terrorizing. However, the moderate Muslims allow the extremist Muslims to exist and be strong. There's the attitude of, "They're a bit extreme, but at least their good Muslims".

You get the same thing over here with Christians.

Well terrorists or terrorism can be seen in full fled army's or hidden fighters, so it can be seen from various view points. It's war either way you look at it and all wars have terror, so it's not about what God said because people have been at war forever, if you were in the country labeled terrorist you may feel they are holy worriers and if you were in the country labeled terrorized you would feel like your army was the greatest.
