Ask yourself this one very important question...
Do I have creative common sense? Mechanical engineers are able to go around the obvious and 'gitter done!'
I personally have these skills but no desire to utilize them to earn a living. I do however know plenty of electrical engineers and I have to say when it comes to creating a 'thing' the electrical guys are pretty handy....however...the mechanical guys are the ones who make this hypothetical idea work!
What I'm saying is find out if you are a thinker that likes to play with numbers until your brain switches off......
or if you are a doer that will think about how this thing has to be in order to work until your brain has an idea and then HAS to see it happen so you can switch your brain off!
Two very different Fields that are interdependent and can be extremely rewarding.
I hope that helps!
