I am Muslim, I believe in one God in one person, I do what God commanded me to do, I worship him only. Nobody is saved, if I knew that I am saved, I would take it easy do nothing like Christians do. but I can't gamble with eternal fire.
I don't think that people from the time of Noah until Muhammad took it easy, I know from the Quran that they worked hard to plase God, and many suffered, even prophets. but things changed with Christians who do no more work and are (claimed) saved. so Why is the Holy spirit for if you are already saved?

One preacher told me that he is in heaven right now, he is already accepted in paradise. (he is just waiting for death to come).

Allah is the God in arabic, can't be plurial like gods nore gender like godess. Allah mean Al Elah. so if you think that God is male, you missed it.sorry.

tracy2119..." you need to know that God will accept any religion, only the one tought by every prophet. so the meaning of << you can't go to the father only through me >> was the saying of evry prophet, but the Christians understand it their way, because they think that the father is male, and the son is human. but if you check the Bible you will find many sons, and they all call God father because it's their language, and all the prophets teach the same thing even Jesus son of man, the prophet of God he never said I am God worship me.
People believing in the story of the cross changed everything, now the worship Jesus. but Jesus never died he is alive now with the true God Allah.

The question is for christians, but I'll tell you what the Islamic view is...
The holy spirit is for sending the messages that God reviels to the prophets.
It's pretty hard for christians to believe that Jesus was no more then a man because they have over exagerrated his miracles. (Of course they see it as the truth.)
No one is totally saved... we all must work to earn in this life, same thing goes for the hereafter.
If we were all saved then there wouldn't have been any reason for us to be on this earth in the first place.
Do to get... that simply how things go...

Thank you for your question.. I would like to tell u that this is a big question. The answer is broad, as the HOLY SPIRIT is GOD IN SPIRIT FORM.. If you will please find a BIBLE and read in the new testament in the book of John chapter 3. This story is about a man much like you who sought out JESUS and wanted to talk to HIM. This man was among the most influential jewish leaders of the day. But he didn't understand the HOLY SPIRIT either. There are alot of other examples. also Please don't confuse a christian's assurance of salvation with their not making any effort to please GOD.. for me personally, living for GOD is similar as for you but I do it because I want to.. I have learned that HIS way is the best way. I eat as HE has taught me, dress, communicate, and try to live in HIS ways. sound like you? Anyone who wants the Holy Spirit must ask Him to come to them as He will not impose Himself upon them Many Christians are not filled with His Holy Spirit as much as they should be.The Holy Spirit was sent back to be our comforter and to guide us in all things. I know who you may see as a christian example may not look good to you but we believe that Jesus took our sins away and paid the price which we could not pay. That should not be an excuse to sin but we believe that if we ask forgiveness sincerely that God will forgive us.

A simple answer for you would be this
The holy spirit is the spirit of truth. Once we accept Jesus into our lives we ask that the holy spirit would enter into us. This spirit shows us the truth of god. That he has forgiven us of all our sins past future and present. That is why you don't see us working for our salvation.

I also believe in One God, the God of Abraham. Belief in the Trinity does not contradict the belief in one God. One God, but triune in nature. Just read Genesis, and you will see the triune nature of God at work in the creation of the world.
God sent His Holy Spirit to be our Counselor.
"But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." -John 14:26

I am christian. Jesus came and died for us as a ransom for sin so we wouldn't have to. This is our assurance of heaven..to have faith in him. He knew how tough it would be here on earth so he sent the holy spirit to comfort us and to aid us against the evil attacks of Satan.

the Holy Spirit reveals the hiddeen things of GOD. Also without the HOLY Spirit who is a "seal" we cannot get into heaven.
