I need it for our school debate

Usually the school year revolves around agriculture. By September, the harvesting has been done and there's little to do before winter settles in, unless there is a lot of livestock. Some states harvest in the winter months, but more states have snow and freezing cold, so the school year is geared more for them.

Since the longest holidays are on summer, and it is that way for a reason, it is wise to make schooling finish before them, and start after them. After a long school year, what better than long holidays?

It's when the heat begins to ebb. Children walking to and from school won't get scorched in their way.
