There is only one way I can think of, which is that after 20 minutes, a normal stomach will start to signal the body that it is full. The more slowly you eat, the less food you will have consumed by the time that happens.

it doesn't necessarily help you lose weight..what it does is help you eat LESS everytime you eat because you realize you're getting full and so you stop. but if you end up eating the amount of food in a day (ie: eating more smaller meals) or eating unhealthy food you won't lose weight. eating slowly helps you control how much you eat but you need to watch what you eat (caloric content) and exercise

It surely does. It has been proven that if food is not chewed properly, air bubbles get trapped in food particles that go into our stomach. These form problems like Gas, etc.

Also, it is proven that food that is eaten slowly and chewed properly, breaks into our mouth only thus starting the digestion process from mouth itself.

Yes, it does. Eating fast fills your stomach to capacity faster than you cn feel it. Slowing down lets the full feeling come naturally so you don't eat more than you need to be full.

eating slower you do get full faster without eating as much...it takes time for your stomach to get digested the food you put in it...a person that eats fast can get to full without realizing it because they ate so fast....and thus consumed to many calories and food....and it is best to drink water...sips of water while eating your food....
