If you go to the library section on Limewire and double click on the song, it will play on the built in media player.

To open it using Windows Media Player, open WMP using Start---> Programs, then go to 'file'---> 'open' ---> and search for a folder called 'shared'. You'll find the download in there.

Are you specific the document you downloaded is an exact sound document? verify out the document extension. Is it .mp3? there are various bogus documents on Limewire that take the call of in spite of the fact which you looked for. confirm you're downloading the actual mp3 document, no longer some imposter.
