Elijah prayed on the mountain and God aswered him with fire when he was in the contest with the prophets of Baal. Was anybody else in the Bilble also answered in this way?

Yes God also answered King David with fire from Heaven, refer to the passage in I Chr below:
1Ch 21:25 And David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight.
1Ch 21:26 And David built an altar there to Jehovah, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called on Jehovah. And He answered him from Heaven by fire on the altar of burnt offering.

Well.... this isn't exactly the same but the apostles (excluding Judas Iscariot) and Mary (earthly mother of Jesus) also had tongues of fire on their heads which were the Holy Spirit. This was during Pentecost.
Also, Elijah also rode a chariot of fire to go to heaven. I'm not sure what passage, but what I remember is that God sent a chariot of fire to Elijah and Elijah rode it to heaven, meaning he didn't die.
