I've heard it from a scene in the movie harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban. Professor Lupin having a conversation with Harry and said to him: "It is quite remarkable that your fear is fear itself".

Since the dementors suck your happiness so you feel fear, loss of hope and so on..so it means that other people consider that the dementor is fear itself

People, all were scared, worried about a future: jobs, food, shelter and such.

His fear is the floaty guy (sorry for the name I just forgot) which I guess is just calling the floaty guys the root of fear. So pretty much just saying that the floaty guys is the perfect definition of the word fear. and that is harry potters worst fear.

It means that like say some one is scared of clowns well a clown is not going to hurt u so the person is not scared of the clown just the fear she has of the clown i hope that made sense.

Simply, that he fears being afraid. Working under this fear, one would not try anything new, would not venture out of his comfort zone, in short, would give up before confronted.

Possibly being afraid that you'll be to afraid to do something when the need arises thus not being able to make a sound decision?
