Yes, there are Biblical principals for those who have committed a crime, especially murder. Abortion and capital punishment issues are not the same and cannot logically be compared. Abortion is a crime of convenience.God will forgive that sin, if one repents.
In the Old Testament they held Rock parties for those types of individuals also. Pharaoh nor King Herod faired very well after killing the innocent. See Revelation 22, that sums the entire Bible up and what happens to people that do these things.
An unborn fetus is considered non-viable by science Not possessing cognizant thought or useless. In Jeremiah 1:1-6, God says He knows you and calls you by name in the womb and has plans for your life. In order to call someone, you have to be a viable person, that is recognizable and has cognizant thought. Jesus, in Matthew 18, said that it would have been better that you had never been born, for harming children. .
Please got to:" fetuses in the womb" on line and you can see live pictures from conception they are human and viable. Another thought..the same argument was made in putting the elderly, handicapped persons to death or otherwise called euthanasia. When you reach a certain age or become
handicapped at any age is this what you want?
(Read:Adolf Hilter and Mein Kampf and Dr. Mengele, Dr Kevorkian... )
The discovery Channel is doing a feature on animals in the womb, watch that this week.

People argue that the fetus is self conscious and is aware of the abortion procedure and that it feels the pain. People also say the fetus is a human being with the right to live. I totally would be fine with that except for the fact that it would be inside my body like a cancerous growth and I would like to think I am allowed to remove any object, dead or alive, from my body if I don't want it there.
I'm still on the fence about the death penalty. I'm filled with hatred toward people who commit truly evil acts and I would like nothing more for them to die but I'm not sure if we have the right to kill them. Most of those people are mentally ill anyway. I'd almost be happier if they were tossed in jail and wound up getting murdered by another prisoner like Jeffery Dahmer did. I don't think there's really any justification for the death penalty other than it makes people feel better (myself included) and I think that's pretty sick.

I understand the contridiction, so lets start with abortion. First of all, by definition, abortion of a fetus > second trimester is murder, before that it is a medical procedure. However, many religious minded people consider all abortions murder to arouse public interest to change the law and definitions. As far as a fetus not having self consciouness; not sure I agree with you. Not sure there is any proof either way, but I would lean toward Yes, they do. Finally, why do we put criminals to death? because we as a society elected leaders to allow it, so if we as a country feel this should be changed, we need to vote differently in the future. I think in time we will. Many other civilized countires already have. Of course the same can be true for abortion...we elected the presidents who selected the supreme court to protect a womans right to privacy involving medical information shared between her and her doctor. reversing this will be tough since the same people who oppose gun control, also oppose abortion, but struggle with the fact that in both instances we are talking about rights of citizens and ultimatley the argument that if govenment takes the right to bear arms away, then all rights will fall eventually, and the same argument can be said of a womans right to privacy. As far as criminals on death row...damn, just dont do bad things to put yourself in that position then we wouldn't have to worry about the death penelty.

That is rediculous. Forget the crime involved? If there is no crime then there is no wrong to be punished for. While i believe in forgiveness, there are still worldly consequences for your actions.
As for the fetus having no conciousness, under our constitution it has the right to life. You are murdering it. It has done nothing to deserve death. Now of course there is the situation when the mother would die to give birth, in which case it should be allowed if the person wants it. It's a shame but it happens and as of yet nothing can be done to prevent this from happening all the time. But they are close.

Babies are innocent....If it a committed crime proven beyond a shadow of a doubt then payment must be made, but unfortunately we have a flawed system in that the rich who can afford the best representation get off and the poor are often guilty with little evidence.

A baby is innocent of committing any crime and it is aborted just because it is an inconvenience..where as an adult who fully understands what he is doing and knows the consequences of his actions, commits a crime. You sir, have things twisted . .

because its murder, the cell that they say is not human, IS human, afer conception it becomes another human, different from its mother, in our language in Tagalog nagdadalang tao - carrying a human cell to full term. ...... we call a pregnant mom this.... not nagdadalang dugo, or just carrying mere blood or cell, else if we follow what abortionists or pro-choice people in thier justification of a moral wrong then...... we should not call a baby human , but blood or cell until full term and until it goes out in this whorld, which is foolish, abortion is indeed murder, or else why is there would be a thousand websites exclusively for it, just to make us understand the inhumanity of doing it.

I don't think so.
frankly I don't think we should kill unless we have the power to revive. only one person has the power to do that. Jesus (God). and I wouldn't ask anyone else to pull the switch/give the shot, because I certainly couldn't.
I think people look at them differently because the fetus hasn't even had a chance, and the ones on death row have.
the next time someone talks to me about abortion, I'll bring up your question. thanks for asking it. cheers!

Have you ever seen a video of an unborn baby being aborted. If you have - the only conclusion is that it is murder. All arguments go out the window.
