I have had tonsillitis 5 times this year. Doctor jjust keeps giving me antibiotics and it clears up then comes back 6-10 weeks later. Could i just be getting recurrant tonsillitis or could it be something more?

Doctor wont remove them he said its just not done these days!

Tonsillitis if not treated with antibiotics may lead to Otitis media (inflammation of the inner ear). Rheumatic fever is another serious complications of Tonsillitis. It causes valvular disease (valve defect) of the heart at a later stage.

it could develop into strep or something. however, if it keeps coming back.. ask the doctor to remove them.
