What happened in the car
A man and a woman are driving along a country road on a cold winter night when the car breaks down. Before leaving to find help, the man tells the woman not to open the doors or windows and not to let anybody in. He leaves, and she does as he says. When he returns, she is dead and there is a stranger in the car. What happened?

The wife was pregnant and gave birth in the car, The stranger is the baby and the wife died during childbirth....good one...

as u said the car might hav broke down into two piece
so inspite of her closing the door and window the stranger came in from the broken part

The lady obviously dies of suffocation!!!
And the stranger was their son and the guy didnt remember bcoz he was an absent minded professor!!!

1) Instead of all the answers given i have new theory....like the husband has planned everything...he hired a assasin and killed his wife...and the stranger is man who witnessed the murder and was waiting for the husband...
2) she died in child birth.

someone could have easily broke in and killed her.
she could have had a heart attck and died, the stranger is someone who broke in.
Someon else could have been hiding in the car and killed the woman.

I'm gonna guess she was pregnant, gave birth while he was away & died during delivery....
...but would the infant really be a stranger?
If that's not the answer, I'm stumped.
