Yea, sometimes they'll perform surgery on the wrong side or even amputate the wrong limb. If you're going under, I recommend getting a thick black permanent marker and writing, "This is my good leg", "Not this organ please", and "I'm not here for a vasectomy" wherever appropriate.

Yessssssssssssssssssssssss.
Iv been given iv fluids where I gained 15 lbs from. They messed up bad. Then they wouldnt help me get up to pee when I already had trouble moving when I came to the hospital! Then I flipped & demanded to be released. The cops came & everything. It was wild. Doctors etc make mistakes all the time. You have to ask questions & do your own research. Another time,,my mother caught pnemonia 4 times in a year because she needed an automatic feeder(they were feeding her by pouring into tube) & I demanded it & she never got it again but when she was in the hospital for that ,,I visited her in the day when full staff was there in I.C.U. & she was convulsing & for how long I dont know but no one even noticed!!!!! She could have permenently fried her brain. Then Im screaming for help & it took too much time for them to respond~she's ok tho,,I hate to think what if I didnt visit just then.Just a couple days ago,,I visited her in the nursing home,,she is 87 now,,I brought her a Christmas tree (& got a huge happy face from her ;O) well,,She has a trake in her throat with air ,,the air tube was off!!!! & they "forgot" to put it on.Im glad I visited from a hour & half ride away unexpectedly that morning. And her call button for emergency is always on the floor.Im moving her closer to me soon.My Mom has a trake because they hacked her throat up during surgery for a lump & now she cant swallow so she has a feeding tube. When the lump was small years ago,,they told her it was "nothing".

yes many mistakes can be made including operations that were not required I do not like hospitals as they make too many mistakes. The man who had the wrong leg amputated the woman who had her womb removed and she should not have done so. The man who they thought was dead put into the morgue and many many more errors by hospital staff. The man who had a heart attack and released from hospital to die a few hours later. The woman who was given the wrong blood type. The man given the wrong drug and an overdose and many many more. the list is endless.

You are asking if it's possible and the answer is for sure. I don't no one make no mistake in hospitals. As easy as giving medication at wrong timing to sending wrong documents to doctor. So long not major till life threatening, everyone make mistakes.

I grew up in alcoholic home; left home at age16; suffered anorexia/bulimia for 7 years; lived with two abusive partners; suffered depression; 5 miscarriages; husband walked out when pregnant with our second child etc .....Now, (at age 39) I am married to a wonderful man, running our own successful business, have two wonderful children, and I have recently returned to study my lifelong dream of hairdressing (as a MATURE age student). It IS possible to achieve your goals, regardless of what you've done in the past. You can't change the things you did in the past or the choices you made, but you CAN change how you will do things from now on, in the future. Don't give up, it's never too late.

Yes it is because no one or no facility can say it runs perfectly. Hospitals have thousands of employees who are human like us, and they can make mistakes. This includes doctors.

Unfortunately, more often than we know. But, then again, as long as their humans, mistakes will always be made. That's why they carry alot of insurance.

everyone makes mistakes... it can cost doctors millions and millions in lawsuits if they really screw up. That's why they get paid so much, it's a risky occupation.
