if some people can see ghosts then why can't they see god?

You cannot make an analogy of seeing ghosts with seeing God. God is different from ghosts. God is the Creator and ghosts (if there is any) are created beings.

God has decreed that He cannot be seen by anyone with only few exceptions:
1) God may show His true face to selected faithful people in the hereinafter.
2) God has allowed prophet Muhammad to see His face when prophet Muhammad went through the process of "Mikraj".

GOD: you see the sunshine every day, you see the blue sky and the children play on a playground and touch the snowflakes on a winter day. You cannot see God? Maybe I'm missing something here but sounds like we see him on a daily basis and look right past the forest in which we live in. Kind of like religion, everyone reaches outward for answers to which we all have within us and do not need to search elsewhere. The world is really quite simple you know, we just refuse to see the noses upon our own faces. Remember this when you start your search for the meaning of life or you will be just as confused as everyone else.

Every physical body consists of a subtle energy along with it. In another words every physical body has a subtle body with it which is also many times referred with the word 'aura'. The aura is a form of metaphysical energy linked to the physical particle. Its scientifically also proved that the aura of a negative person is dark and the aura of a positive person in bright.

Soul is the master of this subtle body and it controls the physical body with the help of subtle energies. (based on this are the treatments of Reikhi, Pranik etc.)

After the death, when the soul leaves the physical body, it moves out along with its subtle body. Depending the good and bad actions of that soul - they proceed for the rebirth - for those whose strong desires are not fulfilled and who has lot of materialistic attractions and who has lot of negative thoughts will wander for some time with the subtle body. In some limited cases they will be able to influence others in various forms (but need not in a fashion as shown in horror movies or horror stories which had added lot of spice to the real possibilities)

Occasionally some people could able to see the subtle bodies and had given the names of ghosts. But they are wandering souls.

All wandering souls need not be bad - there are also cases of good ones also.

Regarding GOD, he is almighty authority, he is ever pure and divine - he is beyond birth and death - he is the controller.

Neither we can see our soul nor we can see GOD with our physical eyes. Because Soul and God are both meta physical entities. Only through spiritual elevation we start experiencing GOD and then with the third eye of divine wisdom, we can see him.

Ghosts aren't real but God is. He has answered my prayers constantly every time I have prayed specifically for something. Sometimes He says yes, sometimes He says no and sometimes He says wait. I don't actually hear a voice but I get a feeling.
