As one of the four ancient civilizations, China has over 5,000 years of rich and glorious history. One of the largest countries in the world, China is blessed by Mother Nature as a geographic wonderland. From the roof of the world in the Himalayas, to the vast emptiness of the Gobi desert crossed by the Ancient Silk Road starting over 2,000 years ago. China is also the home of the third longest river in the world, The Yangtze. This majestic river is the cradle of Chinese civilization. The water in the Yangtze has witnessed countless generations of history, and now is drawing the attention of the world with the cross-century project, The Three Gorges Dam.

This is the land of spectacular scenery, with 5000 years old civilization, and the most humble, hardworking and brilliant people!

China is also the incubator for Confucianism, Taoism, Feng Shui, all these trendy popular topics in the western world today trace their origins back 5000 years, China is the birth place!

China also has the greatest potential and keep moving forward! The next " Gold Rush" is in China!

That's why I love my home country: a timeless beauty charmed for 5,000 years!

I like Shandong's people. They are the friendliest people in China. I have been to other cities and the people just don't compare. Sure, those cities may be more beautiful and have more types of recreation, but in Shandong you don't need those things because the people are so welcoming that you spend your time learning about China through their eyes. They adopt you as part of their family easily and will go out of their way to help you with anything you need. I know others, Chinese and expat, who haved moved to Shandong from other places and love it because the people are so nice.

I like the people. They are patient with you as you are a foreigner, they will try to help you. But they also have bad habits : spitting everywhere, throwing papers, cans anywhere in the street, driving crazily.

Otherwise the food here is excellent and often spicy. Lot's of dishes to taste. Life is cheap and you can find almost everything.

I have been to Shanghai, Chengdu, Hong-Kong and now live in Nanjing. I really like the last one even though now the weather is really cold. On the opposite I hate Shanghai for becoming a western city and thus loosing its Chinese beauty.

i like southern china (guangdong, guanxi, yunnan). i love h k i would like to find steady employment in h k and be able to live there. china is alright but if i stayed there for a long time i'g lose my frekin mind. right now i settled for a job in guangdong with convenient access to h k so when evr i get a chance i escape to h k where people are half *** normal. i stayed in shanghai for 2 years and it was the worst place i ever stayed. at least in other places people have culture. sure shanghai has monumental places like "peoples square", "bund", "jing an temple", "century park" ect... but did you notice what surrounds them?
