We are both in our 30's and we are meeting in a public place. The weather down here (Florida) is slightly chilly at night.

Hey just dress how you normally dress, why because what if he shows up in jeans and a t-shirt and your wearing a fancy gown or something he might feel awkward about his appearance and not be comfortable around you, so just dress as you would normally dress because first dates are just like casual interviews to see if he is worthy of a second date.
Also for safety sake bring mace or pepper spray unless your 100% sure you can trust him.

Go casual and just be yourself.. look nice but don't get dolled up or try to impress him too much. My first meeting with a guy in a similar situation.. I wore Levi's and flip flops, a white tank top and a zipped down sweatshirt.. We've been dating for a while and he recently told me that what got him was how real I was. Good luck!

depends what you are doing...for dinner...how about a low cut wrap style shirt and some sexy jeans/pants and a pair of heels...its flirty but not too much...make sure that you meet in a place with lots of people! have fun!!
