Cause you notice that everyone says to use it with diet and exercise. My theory is you only think they're working because you're losing the weight from the diet and exercise while the fat burners takes most of the credit.
Does anyone know from experience whether they work or not, and if so what's the best brand or type in the market?

Fat burners usually contain psuedo ephidrine, originally ephidrine itself is used to releive sinussitis, the side effects are increased heart rate and reduced appetite, this is the reason they work, they will generally make you edgy and grumpy, and not agood idea to take them if you have any kind of heart problem.
Stick with the exercise, The price they ask for these fat burners isnt worth it, ephidrine only costs $3 for 24 tablets in Europe, they are just making money out of people desperate to lose weight.

Fat burners are not at all a substitute for diet and exercise.Passively moving for 1000 kilometers by train or car can`t be equal to jogging for 1000 kms. Only active not passive exercises burn fat. Fat burners cheated sveral people who lack scientific temperment.

There is no response for hard training and careful nutrition. However if you want to take a thermogen (fat burner) I reccomend carnitene, as it assists with fatty acid transport into the mitochondria for oxidation.

I'm not trying to burn fat at the moment, but I think that careful nutrition and training (as iterated previously) is the base to try get right. Then take supplements, as they will help keep your results consistent for when you screw up (like don't get enough sleep, eat incorrect macronutrients at odd times etc)
