Yes. It's called the Internal Revenue Code - Title 26 USC. See the link below. Anyone (including tax cheats) can make a donation and have unfettered access to the law as they pursue their fruitless appeals against a valid law using circular and illogical arguments.

Yes. You must pay. BUT, for a fascinating case on the subject that went all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States see:

Cheek v. United States, 498 U.S.192

In this case Cheek was found guilty of tax evasion for failing to pay taxes for 7 years because he honestly believed it to be unconstitutional. The case went all the way up to the supreme court and was VACATED! However, it was remanded for further proceedings to determine one thing... what did the work WILFULL mean. Did it mean he meant to defraud or did it mean that he just did it freely of his own volition.

When you can understand how one word can cause highly intelligent lawyers and judges to deliberate and debate for months then you will understand what the law is all about.

Paying taxes is VOLUNTARY. When you are hired with a company they have you complete the forms to allow taxes to be deducted from your paycheck. This form is valid and gives your authorization when you sign your signature. A company can not withhold taxes from you without that signed form. However the catch is, you are expected by FEDERAL LAW to allow these deductions and if you don't you can eventually be prosecuted, be responsible for paying those taxes and the company may refuse to hire you.

Yes.

It's in the Constitution and the code itself is called the Internal Revenue Code which is the tax code for the US.

The US Supreme Court have also made it illegal to evade taxes and none of their case have been overturn by Congress.

Yes, read the 16th amendment to the Constitution of the United States (assuming you are a US citizen). Taxes are what make this country what it is, like it or not. Where would we be without the Interstate Highways that President Eisenhower said should be built?

Oh yes lots and lots of them ... at the state and federal lever.

Don't pay your taxes and end up with your belongings taken away or end up in jail. Either way tax evasion is not a game for the weak hearted.

Whether you are required to pay your taxes is one thing. However, if you can arrange your affairs in such a way to LEGALLY avoid paying taxes, you are alowed to do that.
