The only thing I could think of is if he legally adopts your child and your child's biological father signs his rights away.

he can adopt the child. or else, just put it in writing. make it legal. let your family know this is your wish, that way if anything happens to you, (god forbid) there will be no questions as to what you want. this is what my husband and i did. i think the only person who can make a big deal about this, if your wishes are not put down in writing, is the biological father & grandparents. you may need the biological fathers permission if the two of you decide that you want your husband to adopt the child. but i think that would be the best way to go.

It depends on what the biological father has to say, to a large extent. There was no way I could remove my ex-husband from the scenario, now matter how much I wish to. (He wasn't interested in the children.)
You need to get your child adopted and for that, you will probably need permission from his biological father. But speak to a solicitor.

You should let him adopt your child and get the real dad to sign over his rights to the child and write your will stating that is what you wish is for your husband to have your child but as long as the real dad is around then he can contest to it because he is the biological dad

In the UK parenting rights are automatically awarded to the Mother in terms of education and other children services. You must write a will and inform people of your choices. Possibly even go for a legal adoption of your child by your father too

He would have to adopt the child. That can only happen if the bio father gives up his parental rights.

Write a will on how you would wish him live in you absence with your husband. But surely he must have loved you when he agreed to marry you with your child. There is no question on this since this is his child from the date he accepted you and no question about it. He takes care of you as his family. ok

You can make him legal guardian by speak with a lawyer! You will have to have a document drawn ... but theoretically you can draw up the papers yourself, just get a proffessional to witness your signatures!!
