Galloway is the name given to the area which takes up the extreme south-west of Scotland, and which was joined up with neighbouring Dumfries-shire to the east in the mid 1970s to form Dumfries and Galloway Region.
Main Galloway towns include Stranraer, Wigtown, Kirkcudbright and Castle Douglas.

It's an area rather than a town.
Dumfries and Galloway.
http://www.visitdumfriesandgalloway.co.uk/
It's at the south of Scotland.

If you zoom out and look west you'll see Galloway Forest Park.
