I broke out a few weeks ago and I'm now left with these ugly blemishes only on the left side of my face. Every wear else is crystal clear. I need to know what products will help me get rid of these and also prevent me from breaking out in the future. Any suggestions???

White out has always worked for me, especially if the blemishes look liked they have been typed. Or, you could try honey. Honey kills the bacteria that causes skin blemishes. Heat the honey just slightly and apply it to your face with your fingers. Wash it off with warm water and rinse with cold water. You can add wheat germ to the honey if you wish. Simple, but it works, and it will make you even sweeter than you are. It will create quite a buzz. People will make a beeline towards you. Be careful though, it could give you hives. Seriously, it does kill the bacteria that causes the problem. What have you got to lose? It is cheap and non toxic. And if it doesn't work, spread some on your toast.

What is causing these blemishes? There are several factors that contribute to the onset of skin blemishes in adults. Cosmetics and toiletries may clog pores. Such products include foundations, night creams, and moisturizers. You may need to change your make-up.

Increased sebum production is, to a great extent, caused by hormonal imbalance which is often why spots are often triggered by the onset of puberty or during pregnancy. Temporarily blemished skin can be the result of overloading your body with pollutants such as alcohol, coffee, tea and the chemicals found in tobacco smoke and failing to supply it with essential nutrients. Add to this stress - which can increase the production of some hormones that affect the sebaceous glands - a lack of fresh air, exercise, sunshine and sleep and it's not surprising it shows on your face.

Blemishes fall into two categories: blackheads or whiteheads. Both types of breakouts occur in the hair follicles. They develop when pores become clogged with sebum and other surface impurities, such as dead skin cells and bits of protein. Blackheads are not caused by dirt on the skin, but rather by excess oil left on the skin. If not removed within eight hours, this oil hardens into a plug. When the hardened oil is exposed to air, it is oxidized, giving it a black color. If bacteria comes into contact with this plugged pore, it can cause an inflammation, or a whitehead (the classic pimple).

You may need to change your diet or just generally take better care of yourself. get more sleep, eat more nutrional foods, get outside and enjoy the sunshine.

If they are deep, you couls have a crystalclear blast. It's like a sand blasting effect, it will take away the top layer of skin, and leave it all fresh and new.
