Perhaps, or they're saying that their god is the right one and that all the other gods are fake and don't exist. Still monotheistic there.

I'm a Christian. And I believe that there is only one TRUE God. And only one to me that is deserving of worship. But one of the definitions in the dictionary under god is: a person or thing of supreme value that is worshiped. So I acknowledge that there are all kinds of gods. Money could be a god to someone.

No, what we are saying is that Christians worship God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Jews worship Jehovah God, the Father.
Islam worships Allah god, who happens to be a moon god from way back in the past. allah actually is an imagination, and is not the same as Jehovah or Father Son and Holy Ghost. Jews just do not accept that God the Father is one God in three different states.

People claim that other religions are wrong; that other gods is false. Or that other gods are actually the same, true God.

Sounds to me that they are acknowledging that the views of the various Gods are different enough that they are not the same.

They are just pretending to be tolerant and PC.
All religions are selfish and suffer from papl infallibility.
As far as I can see atheists seem to be the most tolerant and carefree people on the planet as religion doesn't exist and is therefore not a problem to them.

There is only one true God and one false god, you worship one or the other, you either worship Jehovah God the True God and Creator or you worship Satan, the god of this system of things.

Luckily the Lord doesn't rely on us to *create* His truth, only to proclaim it in our flawed and human way.
So we can mis-speak and play logic games with the inclarities of the message as we've shared it... but that doesn't change the message.
