I have been dating this guy for 3 months. He is the one who chased after me, he told me he really liked me, he called me twice a day, he saw me every time he could, and he told me he saw us having serious potential. I responded to these events but I swear he was the one initiating. Recently he told me that he had just gotten out of a serious relationship, and was worried that we were going too fast. He basically told me he still really likes me and wants to maintain dating, just not necessarily as often, or as committed, and then in the future we could get more serious when he was ready. I got really hurt and mad. I feel like he just doesn't like me anymore. Was he being honest about his feelings and actually likes me still or was this his lame way of ending it?

Hmmm . . . there's no way to know if he was being honest. However, I think he might not like you as much anymore, or maybe he thinks he can do better. He probably just doesn't like you so much anymore. You might find out from asking him if he really wants to be with you. Tell him that he should just break up with you if he doesn't want to be with you anymore. You should at least be able to get more details on why he feels the way he does if he insists that he still wants you. You really deserve someone who will want you and not be afraid to be with you. Good night!

Maybe he was worried he was too fast and tried to start from the beginning and go slow and steady. Maybe he just read a dating book.

What you can do is laugh and make a joke out of his ways, if you really want to love him (since he started it) say your happy as long as he's happy. But dont giveaway that you'll wait for him. start playing hard to get again, start calling once and then waiting until he calls back.

If he wasnt seroius then its your right to say you wont be treated like that. Be firm and honest with yourself. This time, dont follow him follow yourself.

I guess that this guy has taken you for a ride when he "recently" gotten out of a serious relationship. He took you as his crying shoulder in a cunning way. So, let this relationship be at a friendship level. Don't commit yourself to him as he is in a process of coming out of his hurts from the past relationship.

We are not sure of his honesty at this moment. Just be a friend to him and don't expect your relationship to go deeper until you are sure enough that he is seious with you.

all the best.
