"Conservative" and "Liberal" entirely depend on the context of the times. If a certain system is corrupt, conservatives strictly adhere to it while liberals progress. For instance King Henry VIII, who broke away from the Catholic Church, was a liberal Christian, for better or worse. But compared to the Puritans, the Anglican Church which Henry founded was conservative and they were liberal. Yet in America, where the Puritans had their way, the Puritans were conservative and the Quakers were liberal.
Today, though, typically a "liberal" Christian is one who endorses gay marriage, etc, which actually is an attempt to change church doctrine. You see, in a strange way, the liberal Christians of the past were almost more conservative and fundamentalist in a way, because a while ago the liberal Christians were trying to get rid of the non-Biblical ideas of wars in the name of Christ and so on. Essentially, the early liberal Christians were trying to get rid of the corruptions of the church, but today the liberal Christians are attempting to corrupt a church that is getting back to its roots.
Now if you were referring to more political terminology, about how Christians belong to the religious right while liberals are all Atheistic, that is kind of stereotyping because there are many genuine and good Christians who are Democrats, and moreso, true Christians do not abide by modern political parties.

It's not necessarily something easily determined strictly by label... In our Western American context, however, it is the Conservatives who still believe in the real existence of Moral Knowledge, or that there is a Way things ought to be.
The Liberal mindset (or political arm) tends to side with those who are skeptical of the existence of Moral Knowledge, but at the same time claim to have some near-divine "right" to things... the basis for which is usually something far too undefined to be of any real use, but then liberals don't need to argue for the cogency of their basis for moral assessment... as long as you can evoke a few tears in favor of your case with a story, that's enough.
It seems to me that Conservatives, however are not willing to play with language or with emotions in that way to win their case. This gives them a sort of moral integrity to holding to some higher principle regardless of how it feels, but makes it difficult to reach a culture that would rather be entertained than think.

I am a Christian and a Liberal. so you can be both. I get so sick and tired of hearing libererals hate God. I DON"T hate God. He saved my life. He gives me everthing I need.
So Just because I am a Liberal does NOT mean I am evil in any way shape or form. and I do NOT mock God I Love Him

GOD is not a member of any "party"...BOTH parties have flaws in their thinking...GOD'S GOVERNMENT is simple...GOD The Father is SUPREME LAWGIVER...CHRIST is EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATOR of His Father's wishes...WE who gain entrance into The Royal GOD Family will rule over the people with a Government that will truly be FOR THE PEOPLE! No more silly trashy campaigns ran by greedy, lusty, flawed human beings who are NOT QUALIFIED for the very offices they so deeply seek! Believe it or not,we need a Loving Government with GOD over ALL MANKIND! And you need not worry...It will not be American,Communist,Dictatorship,Liberal,or Republican...It will be a Theocracy--Divine Supreme Rule! Myth?...Fairy Tale?...Judging by the last 6,000 years of Man's botched efforts at ruling himself, let's hope not! We have 2 choices: Nuclear Nightmare/Or A "Strong Hand from Somewhere" Who will intervene and establish REAL PEACE--in spite of our own stupidity! Forgive me for going on too long...But real peace is coming--you can bet on it......

Only in theory.
But examine the general voting tendencies of the two parties. Typically conservatives vote for: limiting publicly funded schools' ability to teach moral equivalence to children; protecting the rights of all people to practice their religions in peace; limiting abortion to cases of medical necessity; and generally limiting the governments' ability to interfere in the workings of our homes.
Typically liberals vote for: increasing publicly funded schools' ability to teach moral equivalence to children and limiting parents' power to object; limiting the rights of Christians to practice their religions in peace while remaining mute on other religions; removing any limits on abortion; and generally increasing the governments' intrusion into our homes.
Christ prayed in public, freely offered (Christian) religious instruction to strangers, evicted hypocrites from religious buildings, espoused a religious framework that transcended the government of the day: He would be rejected- and prosecuted- by modern liberals.

I have no idea, considering the fact that Jesus was quite the liberal if you actually look into his teachings as opposed to the teachings of Paul.

It doesn't always, but it often seems as if it's the liberals who not only are atheists, but who actively mock Christians and God. Did they ever think that maybe if they left us alone we would do the same for them? The only Christians(or people who claim to be so) who wouldn't do so are people I call Pharisees, after the lawgivers of Jesus' time.
