A homunculus is a creature that was first suggested by the infamous sorcerer and scientist Paracelsus, a Renaissance scientist and magician who ironically is the founder of modern toxicology. He boasted that through Alchemy he was able to create an artificial life form he called the Homunculus. He later said that he felt so disturbed by his own creation because it had no mother or father, and therefore no soul. He killed it out of remorse for his actions of bringing forth such a creature.

The Golem is a mystical creature that is known to have come from the Hebrew legends of an artificial being made of mud. Inside of it is a shem with a special word written in Hebrew that brings life to it. According to Hebrew mysticism, a Golem can be a servant of the Rabbi, and only a truly devoted and holy rabbi has the power to make one since the power that animates the Golem is the life force of God. But there is a catch to that as well. The Golems actions are the responsibility of the Rabbi who made it. So if the Golem has nothing to do, and he gets in trouble, then the Rabbi is at fault. A good tale to read up on is the Golem of Prague.

I will ring your doorbell and run away!!!
