Umm, because you're probably in high school and you're not a normal human being. Logic is lost on many teenagers that's why.

I bet your parents care for you very much. If they didn't they wouldn't care enough to gripe (as you say it). Your parents have for years tried to raise you the best they can and have their own standards. So when you make a mistake they feel like it comes down on them. Maybe instead of thinking they are griping take the time to listen and really hear what they are truly trying to say to you. Be glad you have parents that want to take the time to care about what mistake you made.

You feel this way now but yes everyone does make mistakes as im sure your parents did when they were younger. I know you've probably heard this a thousand times; but when you get older and take on much more responsibility and even when you have kids of your own, you're not going to want them or yourself to make the same mistakes.

Parents get frustrated. They want you to be happy. They want you to avoid the huge mistakes in life. They even want you to avoid the little mistakes in life. They also are prone to feeling manipulated by their kids when they do try to just talk to their kids.

A lot of love stands behind each argument you have with your parents. If they didn't care about you, then they wouldn't care.

It used to bug me that my parents got mad if I came home late. Then they explained that they worry about me and can't get enough sleep when I'm out. Then we worked out a compromise where I could stay out late one night if i was home by 10pm the next 2 nights.

Try to see what's motivating your parents' words instead of just reacting to what they're actually saying. Kids seem to want endless chances to be treated as an adult even when they keep slipping up and wanting to be forgiven like a child. Trying to see it from their side is an adult thing to do.

Some have no common sense - some who make mistakes don't use common sense or even think things out-
