OK, so...Does anyone know if the last names Miranda, Salgado, and Quilez are common in spain, AND in what region or town are they most common in? Also, if anyone has any further info on QUILEZ, that would be great! Oh yeah, and Maldonado. Thanks!

Hey H Miranda,

For questions like this, simply plug the last name into the family search site. You will see the origins of the surnames. For example I found Miranda in South America, the Philipenes, and many other places. Try it for yourself with the other names.

I'm Spanish, so I can help you! If your name is Nicole Andreola Bianchi, after you get married your name would still be Nicole Andreola BIanchi. You wouldn't change you name after you marry your husband, because in Spain we don't have the concept of the maiden name. To keep it short, your name after you get married is the same name you were born with. You enter and leave this world with the same name.
