I agree with Elain no generic yet. I did check the Lilly site and they do give help on costs.

It may have a generic name (that is the name of the actual medication, "Cymbalta" is a brand name) but that does not mean a generic formula is available. Cymbalta, I believe, is the newest antidepressant on the market. (Or one of the newest.) Unless some major changes have suddenly taken place, there is no way a generic is available now or will be for many years.

Drug-makers typically get exclusive rights to any patented compound for 20 years after that patent is approved, but this countdown begins from the day the patent is approved. It can take up to 10+ years for a drug to get FDA approved , after that is when the brand name would be released. So it could be more like 10 years from the release of the brand name to the release of the generic version, depending on how long it took to get FDA approval.

it ought to have a usual call (it truly is the call of the actually medicine, "Cymbalta" is a style call) yet that doesn't advise a usual formula is for sale. Cymbalta, i experience, is the utmost up-to-date antidepressant for sale. (Or between the utmost up-to-date.) except some significant adjustments have without word taken position, there's no way a usual is for sale now or will be for decades. Drug-makers regularly get unique rights to any patented compound for 20 years after that patent is permitted, yet this countdown begins from the day the patent is permitted. it may take in to ten+ years for a drug to get FDA approved , after it truly is even as the emblem call must be released. So it will be more advantageous like 10 years from the launch of the emblem call to the launch of the usual version, searching on how lengthy it took to get FDA approval.
