I been living in Beijing for the last 10 months and thinking of planning a trip to Seoul come next Feb for 8-10 days and want to plan. So how much is the cost of living over there like. ie things like a simple meal, entrance to tourist places, transport.

Actually, its above Tokyo for the second year running (as of last week). That said, I've lived in Seoul for 3 years and I've not gound it that bad at all. Somethings are very expensive, but for the most part its not to bad.
That said, coming from China you may be in for a bit of a shock. Prices will be considerably higher than in China. Bottom line, I would say to live moderately well, not backpacking, you're going to need $80-110 USD a day. That includes 2 squares and a cot at night. You can go cheaper, but cheaper hotel rooms are uually rented by the hour. If you know what I mean.

if you are visiting, it shouldn't be that bad.
food should be cheap.
for transport, you can use the subway or bus..
entrace to tourist place depends on where you go.
most expensive thing would be loging.. i would recommend coop places.

cheap as heck. a hotel might cost a little more there, but you can find a good deal or stay in a gin gil bong (sp? bath house). food is as cheap as anywhere else in korea.
