Alien is a misnomer for an illegal entrant. A right word must be coined for this purpose. Maybe, it must be called - Would be Citizen.

Illegal alien is the term the US government and all law enforcement agency's use to describe a person that has entered this nation via an illegal route. It is the correct
terminology to use since immigrant denotes some one that is legally entering a country. While you may think it is not PC enough. It isn't used in a derogatory way it is fact.
That phrase was used for many years before it also came to mean someone from another planet And the illegal alien is unknown to the legal process.

Aliens means "not from here."
Yes spainards, not mexicans, did roam much of this country.
About all they did with it was send priest to try and convert the Indians and later used the Indians as Slave labor.
Then spain, which claimed Mexico and parts of the United States, was defeated by France. The US bought from France much of the western United States in what is known as the Louisiana Purchase. When Spain did control Mexico and the western US they did so from Mexico city which they took from the Aztecs. So if you are implying that Mexico really has domain over the Western US and it should be given back, then first give back what Spain took from the Aztecs. If each country gave back what it took from another people, either by purchase or by force, no one would know where they should be. It is what it is so get over it.

Alien is a term for someone not born in a particular country. If I went to Mexico I would be an alien. They are called ILLEGAL aliens because of how they entered the country. And how can I know someone who refuses to speak English and complains that I don't speak Spanish.
