maybe its water weight? it fluctuates in men and women, women more obviously...muscle weighs more than fat and we all know that, so maybe if you stopped working out awhile ago then the muscle is deteriorating (sp?).

or you need a new scale? you never know.

Well, you might be gaining weight in certain areas, and losing some in other areas that you don't pay attention to. Or, your scale could be broken. Or, you could just be imagining the weight - ask a few honest family members/friends if you look a bit rounder.
