This happens to me all of the time, as a result of an anxiety disorder. My mind doesn't rest, and because of this I sometimes stay up for days at a time, and when I finally do fall asleep it's out of pure exhaustion. I don't think I've ever had a regular sleeping schedule for as far back as I can remember. If it's a continuing problem... seek professional help. A doctor or a psychologist will surely be of better help than anyone on this forum.

you must have 'over-slept' and your body is just sluggish from all the extra sleep - especially if that's not your normal sleeping pattern. Unlike some people, who manage to get only up to 6 hours of sleep, every night, and suddenly sleep longer, they feel the same, because their body's finding it hard to adjust and leaves you feeling tired. If this is your regular sleeping pattern, getting up to 10 hours of sleep a night, then maybe you're just coming down with something? A flu bug?

How many hours of quality sleep did you get from the 10 hours? Maybe not enough. Also you might be in sleeping deficit, so that 10 hours only might cover a precentage of you sleeping debt, which is my situation.

Cause you overslept, the human body is designed to sleep on 7-hours, if you go over, it rebels and wants more, if you go under it rebels and wants more. It wants consistant 7-8 hours sleep. If you want to buck the system you will always want sleep, if you admit that your body knows more than you, you will sleep for 7-8 hours a night and feel refreshed.

Often oversleeping can make you more fatigued that day. If it's just a one time thing, it can be attributed to that, probably. If it's happening a lot, it can be any number of things. Fatigue is a symptom of many mental disorders, such as despression. Check how you're feeling aside from that and don't let this go unnoticed.

your body is trying to make up for the sleep it's lost like I should be going to bed right now because I work some really weird shifts I am in the medical field. anyways, good luck and try to get more sleep on a regular basis and find an alarm clock to set your inner psyche to a regular schedule.

It is possible you over-slept. That happens for time to time.
Otherwise you needed the sleep! Go back to bed!

Could be depression, but you don't recognize it.

Could also be combination of weather or over anxious with your occupation.

I'd try some vitamins and keeping active, perhaps a long walk will do.
