i just quit and i know that gaining 5 or so pounds is nothing compared to all the other problems cigarettes promote but i'm just curious... if you quit smoking, how much weight did you gain??

I didn't. I started exercising the same time i quit cigarettes. Also, be aware that some people replace cigarettes with food, and don't be one of those people.

It all depends on the individual, I quit once for 10 months and i lost 5ibs because each time i wanted a cigaratte I had a cup of water instead of goin for food.
Good Luck.

I dont think that you gain weight by quitting smoking, just dont eat much or junk. eat healthy food as per your daily requirement. in other words... eat that much which you can burn and you dont put on weight.
