You've pointed out one of the many inherent flaws in most religions (at least the Judeo-Christian ones). In those religions, there is a tendency to imply (sometimes state outright) that you will experience eternal happiness, bliss, what have you (forced happiness?)
This is another one of the excellent questions I've seen here on religious issues (note all have been about Christianity...).
All these issues have been argued over for literally centuries, and no one has come up with a really good answer. Certainly the papacy over the last thousand years has tried to address these questions, but they remain despite being addressed by some of the greatest theologians in history.
Great question.

How do you know, that their child would be burning in hell? How do you know, he will not find some of his family members in hell as well?? I don't believe in that weird stuff either and all that heaven and hell thing is all an assumption. There is not scientific proof of heaven or hell. I would not think so much about it, because the time will come when we find out for sure and are not able to communicate it to the living.

I understand what you are saying how can an individual not feel unhappy in heaven knowing their earthly family is in hell. Very good question but as a Christian, and hopefully going to Heaven someday I believe the remorse we feel will be overtaken by the enlightenment, if you will, about God and the reasons why individuals make to to Heaven or Hell. Once in Heaven all of our earthly life's mysteries will be revealed. Once in Heaven we find true peace.
As for our family, they, you, and I have one chance
Why is that important? For one thing, it means that our life right now is serious, because what we do with God now, will determine our eternal destiny. We will not have a second chance; as the Bible says, "Now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2).
Lets just pray we all make it to Heaven so we may find out. God Bless.

Those who made it in heaven does not worry a bit. Only being who attained perfect knowledge and wisdom which coincidentally whose will is also align with God, knew exactly what to expect among other things that every soul is entitled a place in heaven. It's only a matter of time. Everyone can work out and transcend their karma. A child burning in hell is not permanent. It is a transition that every soul must pass through to attain enlightenment.
I don't know about the belief of other faiths.

Well..... I don't know that God would send someone to hell ONLY because a person just could not "bring himself" to believe in his offer of forgiveness...
However, the eternal separation of loved ones would be a reality even without such an extreme situation. God, as the Author and Source of all Meaning, Happiness, Purpose, and Love would know best how to fulfill the needs of the beings he created... those he knows from the inside out.... Better than any mechanic can know his car...
I would trust that all our worries and fears would dwindle away in his care and presence.

That would, I think, be the Hell of it.
Even people that you did not know suffering like that, and a "Supreme Being" right there and not even trying to help, in fact being the one orderiung that pain and suffering. Worse than a Nazi General, even worse than Hitler.
And the answer above that says God would not condemn an unbeliever is denying his own religion's teachings, and would be burning with the rest of them.

I don't believe in hell 'cause I have not encounter a person that has been there and has lived to tell me about it but...I believe in reincarnation!
So if my mother goes to "heaven" (if there is such a place) and I go to "hell" I would be very happy to know that she's in a peaceful place (people say it is) and would not worry about her well being....but her being worried about me? i doubt it! she knows the path I have taken and respects my decisions, she doesn't blame herself for it and she shouldn't. So the answer is NO, she would not worry at all! :P

Seriously: There is no fire in hell, simply the absence of God's love. How hell got on fire is beyond me. The best I can find is Gehenna, which was the constantly burning Jerusalem city dump. I also find it interesting that Hel is the boatman in Norse mythology that rows souls across the river Styx.

When a person dies and goes to heaven, he realizes that everyone is a loved one. We are all Gods children which makes everyone brothers and sisters. God promises to wipe away all tears when we are in heaven, so there will be no grief. I'm speculating he blots them from our minds because they will be remembered no more. Totally seperated from God is what hell is.

I take it you belong to one of those born again religions that actually believes in the hell of revelation. That chapter should never have been put into the bible, its all just a dream and is there to scare fools into believing the crap their preachers tell them. Go find a bible that is more than 50 years old and you will see that it actually says it was a dream.
