What us Creationist believe is that 6000 years ago, God created the Heavens and the Earth, created man in His Image, and created all the animals. And evolutionist call this a fairy tale.
But look what the evolutionist call fact. 20 billion years ago, rain fell on the molten rocks, forming a cooled and hard surface. It rained on the rocks for billions of years. Eventually life formed in the collected waters. So what evolutionist actually believe is that life came from rocks, and they call Creation a fairy tale.
So what do you think, did we come from God, or a rock?

Creationism is a fairy tale. The Earth is only four billion years old and life took off rather early on.

I am Catholic and I don't believe that the world was created 6000 yrs ago. "A day is like a thousand years to God". "God is without time". "There was no time until God created it". We have proof that earth is millions+ yrs old, that dinosaurs lived once and vast species become extinct (by a great flood, maybe?). God could have easily created it all in 6 24-hour days if He wanted to, He is God, isn't He? But then He could have also created it a billion of years ago and created things piece by piece, He created nature and can let nature take it's course. We will know for sure when God wants us to know.
I personally think that evolution is more fantasy than God doing it all. Where did those 2 atoms that banged into each other come from? How were those 2 atoms formed to beginning with? "In the Beginning was the Word and the Word was God."

Dude with people like you no wonder we have problems
6000 years ago ??????????????
Ancient Egypt the Chinese and the Aztec all have calenders and documentation that predate 8000 bc. So already that makes you date wrong.
As far as Evolution. They can only go back so far before they can not explain the HOW and WHY. They say a Big Bang and that it has always been here. That still doesn't answer how it all got here. thats where they go wrong. Creationist lose in documentaion, Evolutionist lose in the How and Why?

Good News: There is a REWARD being offered at http://www.raycomfort.com and link to Dr. Kent Hovind! Anyone that can prove evolution will be given without further question $250,000.00.
Evolution by definition is a scientific religion. According to USA Today March 21st, 2001, The monkey's aunt was not part of the human evolution, her name is Lucy. Psalm 2 , Phillipians 2:11.
1st Thessalonians 5.
SEE Book: Carl Sagan's nuclear "Winter theory" and compare it to 2nd Peter 3...See todays Yahoo news and what it would do. Is it a myth?

Evolution does not state that life began from rocks. You need to read up on this.
If you believe in god you have to explain who created god. Creation as written in the bible is just a story.

Well, I could have supported your opinion, until the 6000 years part! Do you honestly believe that the earth is only 6,000 years old? If you do, I have some great ocean front property in Arizona that I'll let you have for a real bargain.
I believe that this earth today could have been started by a creator and then evolution took over.

I think you have to take a Biology class again. You need to study more!
To Daniel who said:
"I would say that the Creationist would be wise to simply present his case without the 6000 year reference." If Catholics will do that that is a prove that people change the Bible in different time. You know that creation of human 6000 years ago is impossible because you live in a time we all know it is impossible. People in that time didn't know.

Actually, we believe that the universe is only about 13.5 billion years old and the Earth is only about 4.5 billion years old. The rain on rocks idea didn't happen until long after the Earth had formed.
Also, we don't come from rocks. We come from organic molecules that formed early life forms that evolved into more and more life forms with humans as one branch of the tree of life.

That's called science man, and it is based on empirical data that has been researched by countless people that are highly educated. These questions arose and were researched because people found that they were unable to accept things that were written by people who lived thousands of years ago, and weren't able to accept these "faith based" absolutes that were being spouted by people who thought the Earth was flat, and that the Universe revolved around the Earth.
I like what the Character Archie Bunker said about faith, he said " faith is something no one in the right mind would believe in".

We don't know where or how it started. But we DO accept the SCIENTIFIC FACT that the earth is MUCH older that 6,000 years. Look at the ground you're standing on. Chances are it's at least ten times that old.
Maybe God DID create the world. I believe that. I just don't believe that this earth, with such a rich, unexplored history, can be only 6,000 years old.
