Absolutely! My parents were self-employed for years and always had Health insurance. It did seem a bit high in cost, but it was better than not having it to them. Things happen so fast and if you're not ready!

If you have a tax-identification or employer identification number to show you're a business, you can get insurance. Reason being - insurers would rather sell to a business than to a person because they have a smaller chance of getting screwed on unpaid premiums for someone who is in business.

Ya go to local insurance offices or on the web and ask, well I guess that;s what your doing here, doh. I've know people who get it at local insurance companies it's just usually your employer pays half and you pay half. Since you are your own employer you gotta split the cost with the boss.
