I'm aware you have to get a CCW but I'm just wondering are you suppose to also hide it or are you able to have it showing if you have your badge showing? basically does it still have to be concealed? Just wonder what the rules and regulations are if anyone knows any great websites would be helpful

I'm not from Michigan, but here they can because they have the same authority as regular police officers and they don't need a CCW. The only restriction would be if their department placed additional restrictions. We encourage our reserves to carry concealed firearms off duty, they have to meet the same standards we do, so why not?

In my state anybody who can legally possess a firearm can carry it if it's not concealed, no permit or anything.

They are under the same regulations as the full-time officers.
