You definatly need to go Reservist if you wish to keep your full time life outside of the military. At the present time I'd go either AF or Navy because of the deployment issues with the other two branches.
I'd choose based on whos got the nearest training facility to you so that you know where you will have to report 1 weekend a month and 2 weeks a year. In San Diego most people go Navy reserve because those are the bases around so it's a 15 minute trip to training on the "duty" times. Best way to see what's right for you is to sit down with the recruiter and see what "deal" he can give you.
Good Luck

I have friends that went to every branch you can think of if your thinking of going reserve. Personally, I would go with the airforce due to the fact that they have way to many people so it's more likely you can get the job you want and stay in your city. I have a friend in the army and they have her all over the place due to there low on people. Most, of the other branches are low. This is not good when you choose to enlist and do a job with them because you hear on the news all the time how people sign up and get forced to do a different job. But, if there is a surplus of people they are more likely to give you the job you want so go with the airforce.

There are in problem-free words 4 branches of the military: military, military, Air stress, and Marines (5 in case you count number the Coast shelter). each and each and every branch ought to have it truly is particular factors. So, you received't get it incorrect with both the military or the Marines.

Well the Air Force is the least stressful, the Marines are the worst. What you'd need to do is see if you can sign up as a reserve so you can have a life too and still work.

US Army Reserve. You can keep you job, go to college(tuition assistance is available so you don't have to pay). Plus the Army has a student loan repayment program. Plus the Army is the ONLY branch that has a contract guaranteeing you your MOS(job).

Reserves or Guard.. as long as you understand that you will be sent off for training for possibly months at a time, at least at first, and that you can and probably will be called up for Active duty orders for a year or more.

air force. you are stationed in one locale for a long time. navy sends you all over the world, but you may not like the time spent at sea. the army needs cannon fodder for george's non-war in iraq. the marines get you stuck in just a few places, not all of them gooid.
