Sounds like you have sensitive teeth. It may or may not mean you have cavities. They make special toothpastes for people with sensitive teeth and you could try that. If it works then you probably have no cavities. If it doesn't.. well.. then go find a NICE dentist and have them look at your teeth. Better to get a small cavity filled than to pull the tooth later.

Generally, sensitivity to hot/cold indicates a cavity.
You need to have your dentist x-ray the tooth to be sure.
However, sometimes it can be caused by sensitive teeth.
Or it can be due to toothbrush abrasion. I thought I had a cavity, but I was just brushing too hard which caused the abrasion.
The only way to be sure is to go to the dentist.
If you wait any longer and the sensitivity is due to a cavity, you may have to have a root canal to fix the tooth. If you go now, a filling may do it.
Good luck!
Happy Holidays!

You may have cavities or sensitive teeth. They have some new dentists that do sedation dentistry - you just take a pill before you go to the dentist and then you are supposed to sleep through the entire appt. Maybe they have one in your area.

probably so. Yes, you should be seeing a dentist two times a year for check ups, cleanings and x-rays.
